Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Skynify collects when you visit skynify.com or book a call with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Skynify is a Shopify growth agency based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In this policy, "Skynify", "we" and "us" mean Skynify.
Dair Rose, our founder, is responsible for how we handle personal information. For any privacy question or request, email hello@skynify.com.
What we collect
- When you book a call: the details you enter in our booking calendar, such as your name, email address, phone number, company or store details, the time you choose and anything else you tell us in the form.
- When you contact us: what you send us by email, phone or text, and our replies.
- When you use the website: information about your visit, such as the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search engine or an ad), your browser and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. Some of this is collected with cookies and similar technologies, described below.
We don't ask for sensitive information, and we ask that you don't send it to us.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and hold the call you booked, including confirmations and reminders by email or text message.
- To follow up about our services after a call, if you'd like to hear from us.
- To understand how people use the website so we can improve it.
- To run and measure our advertising, for example to see whether an ad led to a booked call.
- To keep the website secure and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We don't sell or rent your personal information.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
- Necessary: to make the website and booking calendar work, and to remember your cookie choices.
- Analytics: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, both loaded through Google Tag Manager. Google Analytics tells us which pages people visit and how they found us. Clarity shows us how people use the pages, such as where they click and how far they scroll, through heatmaps and recordings of visits, so we can find what's confusing and fix it. It doesn't record what you enter in the booking calendar.
- Advertising: the Meta Pixel measures whether people who saw our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads visited the website or booked a call, and helps us show ads to people likely to be interested.
Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website still works, although the booking calendar may need some cookies to run.
If you book a call after clicking one of our Meta ads, our booking system may send Meta a record of the booking with your contact details in a scrambled (hashed) form so we can measure that ad. Meta uses it under its own terms.
Videos on the website come from YouTube and only load when you press play. YouTube then receives information about your visit under Google's privacy policy.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run our business. They process personal information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services:
- GoHighLevel (LeadConnector): our booking calendar and customer records, including email and text reminders.
- Netlify: hosts the website and keeps short-term server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and delivery.
- Google: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for website measurement, and Google Ads if we advertise there.
- Microsoft: Microsoft Clarity, to understand how visitors use the website.
- Meta Platforms: the Meta Pixel and Conversions API for advertising measurement.
- Our email, phone and video-call providers: to communicate with you and hold calls.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers may store and process your information in the United States and other countries outside Canada. Information stored there is subject to the laws of those countries, which may allow government authorities to access it.
How long we keep it
- Bookings and enquiries: as long as needed to respond and follow up, and up to 3 years after our last contact unless you become a client.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as tax and legal rules require.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that's wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, unless we have to keep it for legal reasons;
- stop sending you marketing messages. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to texts.
You can also withdraw your consent to cookies or other uses at any time. To make a request, email hello@skynify.com. We'll reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.
We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom: we process your information to take steps you request before entering a contract (booking a call), for our legitimate interests in running and growing our business, and with your consent for analytics and advertising cookies. You also have the right to restrict or object to our processing, to receive your information in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our website and services are for businesses and aren't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
